KFC Appoints Sabir Sami as its new CEO
YUM! Brands Inc announced recently that Tony Lowings will step down as the CEO of KFC at the end of 2021. Sabir Sami, presently the managing director of KFC Asia, will succeed as the new CEO from 1st January 2022. Mr. Sami will oversee the branding strategy and overall performance of KFC in the global market.
KFC has over 25000 outlets throughout the world. The American fast food chain has largest number of outlets in China (6078 outlets), followed by United States (4062) stores). There is a further potential of increasing business and brand presence in booming economies of the world such as India, Bangladesh, Vietnam, Cambodia and several others.
