Godfather of Advertising “Jimmy Lam” Passes Away
Prominent marketing figures from throughout the world have expressed their respects to Jimmy Lam, the “Asian Guru of Advertising” who passed away on 30th October.
Lam was a legendary figure in Hong Kong’s advertising scene. During his active days, Lam became the first Hong Kong creative director to be invited to judge at Cannes Lions and the co-founder of Adfest in 1989. Additionally, he co-founded the Lengthy Xi Chinese language awards show. Furthermore, Lam was associated with a number of reputed ad agencies such as McCann, Dentsu and DDB throughout his career.
