Additionally, the company announced their plan to set up 40 units of battery-operated buses, 20 units of DC fast charger, which will be able to charge the vehicles within 5 hours. Moreover, the announcement comes as a part of the deal that Sajha had inked with CHTC Kinwin, China. THEE-Go will be honoring the agreement on behalf of CHTC in their capacity as a local affiliate of the company!
Even though it is positive that multiple brands have been pushing for different EVs(Electric Vehicles) in Nepal, infrastructure and geographical hurdles continue to prove to be a great impediment to rapid growth in EV substitution in Nepal. While the pickup boasts the capacity of being ‘off-road’, without the existence of charging stations throughout Nepal, especially in remote locations, mass adoption of the electric pick seems unlikely!
