Nepal Enters the 3D Advertising Era with Coca-Cola’s Half Time Magic
Nepal has made a bold leap in the world of advertising with the installation of its first-ever 3D anamorphic billboard. Unveiled at the bustling Itahari Chowk - A central junction in eastern Nepal with high footfall. The eye-catching display marks a milestone in the country’s marketing evolution.
This innovative billboard is part of Coca-Cola’s “Half Time” campaign, a global concept that celebrates the power of taking a pause. The idea behind the campaign is simple yet powerful: during life’s busy moments or even a sports match, “Half Time” is when we recharge, refresh, and get ready to go again with Coca-Cola as the perfect companion.
To create a hyper-realistic experience, Coca-Cola conducted a full 3D scan of Alex Bishwokarma, the male model featured in their Half Time TV commercial. His exact movements were recreated on the massive 715 sq. ft. LED screen using cutting-edge 3D anamorphic technology an illusion that gives depth and motion when viewed from a specific angle. This style of advertising has gained popularity in countries like the United States and South Korea, but this is the first time it has been executed with such precision and creativity in Nepal.
By combining advanced technology with strong storytelling and local relevance, Coca-Cola’s campaign has not only captivated viewers but also set a new benchmark for Nepali advertising. The initiative highlights the brand’s ongoing commitment to innovation and its ability to connect with audiences in fresh and exciting ways.
